I’ve got one word for you. Vanguard. It’s the Holy Grail of trance arp sounds. I’m serious. Lately, I’ve been finding myself constantly using the synth on all my productions. From hip hop to dance to whatever. It just works. Whenever I’m stuck creatively, this synth carries me through the musical rut kicking and screaming. It seems to produce fresh ideas out of thin air with the push of a single key.
You see, I had been on a quest to find decent trance sounds for what felt like before the B.C. era. I searched endlessly through music nerd forums and what not trying to pick peoples brains. One false lead led to another until I came across a curious profile named “dookie12â€. He seemed to be quite knowledgeable. Every post he had showed some sort of value to it. So I messaged him about trance sounds and hoped for the best. A few days later I got a message from him telling me to check out this older synth called Vangaurd. I was hesitant. It was old. Looked dated. The demo for the product sounded average. But I decided to take a leap of faith and bought it because it was just too cheap to pass on. Plus, I was desperate. Never under estimate a desperate man looking for synth sounds.
I admit, I wasn’t blown away when I first downloaded it. It took some tinkering. But my biggest love affair about it is the ease of use of the arpeggiator. So self-explanatory that my Grandma could even use the thing.. I was sold hook line and sinker once I bought all the extra presets. (highly recommend).
So in short, if you have $100 to spend, do it. You can thank me later. And I will thank dookie12.
